Podcast PD is an innovative, asynchronous professional development opportunity offered by SDEA. This format allows you to engage in learning at your own pace—no weekly deadlines, in-person meetings, or Zoom sessions required.
With ten different podcasts to choose from, you can select topics that align with your content area, professional interests, and learning goals. Each session includes a reflection component, and participants can mix and match podcast episodes.
This flexible approach empowers educators to take control of their professional growth while fitting learning into their busy schedules.
Participants will listen to ten podcast episodes of their choice from the list provided. If you have an education-related podcast you’d like to use that is not included, please reach out for approval.
Objectives
Participants will:

Identify and analyze key strategies or approaches discussed in the podcast that can be integrated into classroom practices to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Evaluate the relevance of podcast content in addressing current challenges in education, such as equity, inclusion, and classroom management, and develop actionable plans to implement these strategies.

Reflect on personal teaching practices in relation to insights gained from the podcast, with the goal of fostering continuous professional growth and improving overall teacher well-being.
